M quotes

It is been a while since I sat down to key in something. Have always the excuse, no time, or is it writers's block, huh?. G would say, "But..., Isn't that for writers?", with a smirk. G believes all my writings have a touch of grief in it. Anyway ain't I the sentimental? So, here is my attempt to write something cheerful.

M is our happiness. I am calling these M quotes. M is our 2.5 (well, M says, almost 3) year old son. He has his own (strange)way of making us burst out into laughter. I have listed down some of the instances.

The other night G, M and I were chatting. I told G and M, that I have an idea.(These days, I make my conversations dramatic to make it interesting for M, another parenting tip from babycenter). We have an apricot tree in our backyard. It is loaded with apricots. Many of the raw ones are falling down as the branches are unable to bear the load. So my idea was to make pickle out of them. Apricot pickle :) I could see G's chuckle already. M told me right away, "Mama, I do not like picy (spicy) pickles". Anything red in color is picy(spicy) for M. After a short stint, M looks at me and tells, "Mama, I have an idea". I responded "Yes, M, what is it?"And he tells me. "We will buy pickle seeds and plant it and it will give us pickles". We had been doing quite some gardening lately, so there goes... G and I could not help laughing. M was quite happy too, as he thought, he told something really funny.

Last weekend we had guests at home. M loves to be with people. One of the families had a 11 year old daughter. M was friends with her quite soon.( I should tell this before I go on. M believes he is quite big and he needs to explain things which he knows to others, irrespective of they know it or not. May be all kids are like that.) So, we could hear him giving the little girl a walking tour of our house. So he goes on and on, this is kitchen arti, this is... and so and so. Then he reaches next to our bathroom. He stops and says... "Arti, this is where we all poopy". All of us burst out laughing. M looked perplexed, he was quite serious. He must have been thinking that big people are wierd.

I have loads more to write, but I guess will stop for now. Hey G, don't be grouchy now! Did this post make you smile?

This was lovely, my three-year old should be M's age...and I couldn't help but laugh out loud with his comment on 'poopy' :)
